Fragile Flower
Please insert sympathy here, following my personal ode to self-pity.

Heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat stroke in Brugge, Belgium.
Yea Yea Yea I'm a fragile flower
Forced myself to eat, Hold still, Wear as little as possible, Drank water till I peed again
Yea Yea Yea I'm a fragile flower
Tomorrow I'll go to Amsterdam and the forecast is not quite so cruel
I'll buy some short shorts and open-toed summer shoes
I want to be a sturdy tree
I want to be a pond
Instead I am this wilty thing
Hating summer's sun
Woe Woe Woe I'm a fragile flower

I feel very sorry for the hot, fragile girl who's in Europe while I am not.

No, really.

We all already knew you were hot.

Sympathy sent, whine received, gripe validated.

Speaking of the Sun, I hope you took advantage of your location to watch the transit of Venus . . . It's not visible from the western US.

*hugs* be sure to get plenty of salt and electrolytes with your water. We want that hydration to stay in your body and not just drive through. ;)

Ugh. There's a reason I don't live in Georgia anymore, and I'm so sorry you're getting overheated now.

Yet another reason to be glad that you live in Seattle and not LA or Arizona or some other sun-drenched place.

Amen!
