Tao of the Day
Those who are blind drunk may fall from a carriage and bruise themselves,
but they won't die.
Why not?
Although their bones and joints are the same as anyone else's, at the moment of the fall their spirit is unconscious and so their hearts are not troubled by
ideas of life and death,
fear and hope.
They do not tense. They don't resist the ground.
So they don't break any bones. It is the same with those who live in harmony with Nature.

-Chuang Tzu (trans. Freke)
