The Instruction Manual
WOW. John (autonomic_pilot) found this. This is EXACTLY what I've been blathering about RE: paradigms.

Sharon (sculptruth), when I saw this, I came within inches of getting up, getting dressed, and dragging my laptop (as if only my laptop could play it?) to your house to make sure you saw it immediately. 9pm Urgent Youtube Delivery! Heh.

I loved it, and I didn't expect it to make me emotional, but I got teary right at the end.

That's really cute, and profoundly eloquent. I would have giggled if you'd showed up on my doorstep, bright eyes, earnest smile. Thanks for sharing it! :)

I love how simple it is. I so wish I could communicate like this. Maybe if I used Flash instead of words I could. Ah, but then there's the part where I'm lazy, and last time I animated Flash I got a 30s clip after 4 days of work. Whereas I can recklessly misrepresent myself with words in 30s or less! ;>

I'm all about reckless misrepresentation in print. It makes for interesting cross references later ^_^

Truly a work of art. I had hoped it would stay at the top of Reddit's main page for longer, though.

That was outstanding.

It seemed very much...what's the word...intimate.

I feel somebody shared something very intimate with me.

That was my impression as well, after the story got going. There was a strong sense of someone telling, not an allegory or fable, but a personal and painful experience.

Now if I could only get certain friends to watch that.

That was excellent! Thanks for sharing it. a great metaphor.

I feel fortunate to have grown up in an area - and in a family - in which people just kind of coexisted together, and enjoyed one anothers' "cabinets", if they were even on display at all.

Awesome!
