Tell me about a fascinating coincidence you've had/discovered recently.

I ran into a old friend who I hadn't talked to in over a year on the bus yesterday....then ran into her again two days later at a vintage LP shop. 15 months of no contact, then two accidental meetings in a few days. Maybe not full on coincidence...but quite strange...and enjoyable!

I've had amazing synchronicity in my life lately. So much so that most of my friends seem to be experiencing a lot of synchronicity as well. Secretly, the cosmologic-romantic part of me things the universe just stopped expanding and has started coming back in, thus moving from chaos to order.

Oh, and to answer my own question, just one anecdote of many:

I had a few friends over to watch Hudson Hawk Tuesday night, and they kept quoting Steven Wright back and forth. Wednesday morning, I got an email notifying me that Steven Wright had just booked a concert in Seattle and tickets are going on sale tomorrow (Friday).

And another, I told a friend, "I want you to hear these 2 songs" ("Moon and Back" by Savage Garden and "Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon) and after several years break, he'd been listening to the Vertical Horizon album the day before.

People tell me that I rule, and I discovered that, coincidentally, it is true.

People are dumb. :)

... anytime I seriously need money, I get it.

No, seriously.

Unremembered savings accounts, options accounts at brokerages, money paid back to me that I had forgotten about or written off ... if I *need* the money, it shows up for me. Not always in the gentlest of fashions, but always.

For instance, when Lorian and I found the engagement ring she wanted, I got a notice from a credit union in FLorida (where I haven't lived since, I dunno, 1994?) saying that I had a significant amount of money in an account there, and did I want to close it.

In the last year, I've been running into the same thing. Karma for the financially responsible? Hmm.
