Insomnia Tea
In an attempt to find a daytime tea to keep me mellow on a stressy work day, I accidentally found a great tea for putting me to sleep. I don't weigh very much and under-indulge in caffeine so your mileage may vary (try 2 cups if one doesn't work for ya).

1 cup of chamomile tea (Trader Joe's Organic, but whichever) + 1 clove (yep, the grocery store spice - bruise it with your fingernail before dropping it in - helps release the oil)

Both times I tried this on stressy work days, I wound up out cold for an unplanned nap.

Lots of friends and friends of friends with insomnia troubles lately, so I thought I'd share.

(My personal cure for my 10+ years of insomnia in my teens through mid-twenties was 1 part aging (no doubt), and 1 part increased physical activity on a daily basis)

Don't swallow the clove. :)

I have been grown to like rooibos tea. It is not exactly tea since instead of tea leaves rooibos (red bush) leaves are used. Along with rooibos the mixture I bought has some chahomile, strawberry bits vanilla and daisy petals. Tastes good, no caffeine and contains lot os antioksidants.

Me too, actually. I've found that rooibos is one of the few non-caffeinated dark teas that one can take with cream without it tasting awful.
